Muse - Happiest of Birthdays

Hi Everyone,

Another fun challenge at Muse ... Anita, this week's designer, provided a stunner in corals (my fav) and black. My rendition includes colors and black flora. The coral panel was achieved by ink blending Candied Apple Distress Ink. The mottled look was achieved by blotting a wipe over a stencil. For the flower ... a stamp from the MFT Distressed Pattern collection was used repeatedly/randomly to stamp the stripes then the pattern was stamped/die-cut with the flower. The centers of the petals were colored with a Copic marker. A few paintings of clear WOS were added to the flower for shimmer. For interest a patterned embellishment was added to the flower center, and a few clear rhinestones add sparkle.

  3. Marilyn, I love all the little details on your card! The stripes on the flower and the mottled background are fabulous! I haven't heard about that wipe technique with a stencil but I'm definitely going to have to try it.
